The Iron River Lions Club recently made a $1,000 donation to the Iron River Ambulance Service to assist them in their efforts to procure a mobile cardiac unit. The Lions’ club efforts to help their fellow community members through efforts like these can only be made possible with your support of their events like the annual Blueberry Festival. Lion of the Year
Andy Edwards is presented the prestigious Lion of the Year award by President Darren Hanson. Andy is a truly ACTIVE Lion. He headed the deer hide collection, works on publicity for the Blueberry Festival, is the club photographer, and is just generally available when the club needs a hand. Congratulations, Andy. International Award Faith Pittsley and the Iron River club received International Awards for work done promoting diabetes awareness and prevention. This is the first such award in District 27-C2.
